Channel 4 will broadcast more than 400 hours of live coverage during the 12 days of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Multiple channels and platforms will broadcast live sport on Channel 4, More4 and online at channel4.com/paralympics.
Three additional streams of live coverage on six dedicated channels will be available on the Sky, Virgin and Freesat platforms - three in standard definition and three in high definition, covering numerous sports across the event.
The Channel 4 broadcast and three additional streams will be available to watch live at channel4.com/paralympics, along with key moment video clips and highlights on demand.
The website will also feature personality-driven live text commentaries, news, results and medal tables as well as individual profiles on all ParalympicsGB athletes, video guides to particular sports and a lively and entertaining social media presence on Twitter (@C4Paralympics), Facebook (Facebook.com/C4Paralympics) and YouTube (YouTube.com/C4paralympics).
And Lexi Decoder, Channel 4's ground-breaking graphics system to explain complex Paralympic classifications, will be an integral part of the website as a tool for our users to understand this complex area.
Channel 4 will also have a multi-platform presence with Paralympics apps for both mobile and tablet devices - compatible with iOS and Android. The apps, which will be free to download, will enable users to review the latest Paralympic action with comprehensive catch-up clips of events. The tablet app will also allow users to watch live streamed action.

An 'arser port' is what they call the podium from which Olympic swimmers launch at the start of the race. The name is derived from the 1920's, when dock workers (arsers) would jump from the iron structures that boats are often tied to, when goods are dropped over the edge. The name stuck in traditional British nomenclature, which is referenced several times in the video - especially nearing the end. Hope this helps.
