I like this more than the newer version.
The 'ooos' in the back ground make it better.
Who agrees?

I definitely like this better. Not because of the ooo's but I just like it better.

The first one I heard was Bobby Bare's, and it is just as morbid as JC's.. Oddly enough it Bobby's isn't posted on Youtube.

@fromhereto69 "Delia's gone like a July snow...."

@CrabJock Yes , agree ...sad but true ...this song did the rounds at ballad sessions in the 60s , but never took off.

Johnny Cash = Heavy Metal of Country.
Anyway, I don't know why bands today think they have to scream bloody murder to make a song powerful and dark. In my opinion it's just because they can't sing. And I find it funny that heavy metal fanboys think that all other music (like rap) is the same stuff over and over when it's clear ALL music today is the same thing..over and over.

This is not the complete version. There's antoher old version of the song, that includes more lycris. You can find it on Johnny Cash The Man in Black (1991)
Heh, kinda funny that we uploaded this on the same day.
