This seems to go along with Isaiah 18. A tough, obscure passage to understand. But this nation is utterly destroyed that there are not enough people left to bury the dead. That is shown in verse 6. "They shall be left together unto the fowls of the mountains, and to the beast of the earth:" The aftermath of a neutron bomb? This could mean America will be destroyed and part of 1/3 of the world to be destroyed in the first part of the Tribulation.

@Terry8150 Yup. There is alot more detail as to the fate of our nation in Eziekiel 38 and 39 where it describes the War of Gog and Magog. It sais that יהוה will also cause a fire to rain down on ..."those who dwell carelessly in the isles." The word for "in the isles" is אִי - meaning 'overseas'. When Israel is attacked by all the listed muslim countries, the judgment fires will also be sent down on all of us who dwell carelessly overseas (USA?). There's a storm coming, His storm. :-(

@TiborasaurusRex I'm thinking that before Israel is attacked, America has been destroyed. Israel will have no one to turn to or to protect them from this gathering of the nations against them. I believe something triggers the end for America. Russia and the rest see an opening to bury the US. That's their goal and the goal of muslim countries. Only the Lord will be able to help Israel, because the US will not be there to help. Before this happens, the Lord gives himself a gift?
