This video steps you through programming the invT function into your Ti 83/83+ calculator. The invT function is similar to the invNorm function; it computes t-values given two inputs: the area to the left of the t-value you are looking for, and the degrees of the freedom. In other words, it is the inverse of the tcdf function.

Update: As someone very helpfully suggested, use the "A-LOCK" (alpha lock) when typing in alpha characters so you don't have to keep hitting "ALPHA" before each character.

  • Also.

    2nd Alpha is your friend.

  • @bigmac364 Excellent tip, thank you!

  • Update: you can find the < (less than) sign in the 2nd TEST menu more quickly than finding it in the 2nd CATALOG menu.

  • @frindle123 Glad you found it!

  • @frindle123 Never mind, I just found it nestled between all the programs in EXEC. Sorry for the disturbance.

  • :-) Most valuable video on the web for me today. Many thanks and many blessings! :-)

  • Great video but im not getting invT in pgrm after i enter in all the data and finish off with 2nd quit. Do i finish by pressing a button so that invT goes to program. When i go to program, I see invT in EDIT, but when i click it, it goes straight to the code. I have TI-83 Plus Silver
