Wow. This takes me straight back to high school. I listened to this album, and this track in particular, non stop back then. Thanks for posting this!

Beautiful melody. Stunning and majestic!

I did not know Tangerine Dream had ever used a Roland D-50 in their music. One of the patches in this is clearly the D-50's "Digital Native Dance", though.

I've been a fan of TD since the 70's but have never seen a video so perfect for the song as this one that is not made by the artists themselves. Great! I think Sun Gate together with Mothers of Rain the best of TD from the 80's. Thank you.

Never have i heard a song with the vitality, the originality, and complexity as 'Sun Gate.' It is my favorite all-time instrumental, and although there are other great instrumentals such as, 'Any Colour You Like'(Pink Floyd); 'Moments in Love'(The Art of Noise); 'Compassion'(Spirit of Eden); 'La Bikina'(various instrumental versions); 'Theme for Great Cities'(Simple Minds); 'Genesis Ch.1. V.32'(The Alan Parsons Project); 'Look To Your Laurels'(Blue States)--This one remains my favorite.

@elbikino1 My first sincere musical love was JMJ, my favourite album - Equinoxe, but I consider TD the grandmasters of instrumentals. There are so many awesome TD instrumentals, I cannot pick one... thanks for your nice comment!
