Jan Brink and Briar - Their Final Performance

Swedish rider Jan Brink and his beautiful stallion Briar give a....shaky last performance during the FEI Rolex World Cup 2009.
Brink announced that this will be Briar's final performance. I'm just honored to know that I was there to witness, and capture it.

yes, he's up for stud. And he has made a lot of fantastic foals. According to a horsesite in sweden he has more than 600 foals.

How old is Briar here? 17? 18? And he still got all that energy.

I admire both horse and rider.

Oh, Briar.. he's doing fine :) after all articles I've read about him :)

Brink tells us in a interview afterwards that Briar this day was really on his toes and so excitedabout the audience and everything that Brink didn' succeed to calm him down properly before the ride. Really nice to hear that about an 18 year old stallion. Still going strong!

Yeah, did you see the big smile on Jan's face, though? He;s such a forgiving and kind rider, that's why he's one of my favourites <3

That turned out to be Jan's last international ride, too. I'll miss them...specifically Briar xP I noticed there was loads of passage...and is that the same music they use all the time? I like how whenever he was being a 'grumpy ol' geezer', the audience was all like *gasp shock horror*! lol. I don't think the 2 tempis were working out very well either...
