Bioshuttles-UK's first ecologic taxi service

Burning of fossil fuels to power our transports is damaging our environment. In fact, it is one of the biggest cause of climate change in our country today, responsible for 33% of our CO2 emissions and particles damaging our health.

At Bioshuttles we are trying to establish a model that use renewable fuels.

A new,sustainable, safe, affordable, ecological private hire service for the local community.

We started in October 2005 to use high blends of Biodiesel on all our vehicles between 50% and 70%,before Radio Taxis in London (started only in 2007).Also,as soon as we found better and more reliable sources of biodiesel we increased the percentage to nearly 100%.

A new service for new needs. With the development of new technologies used in producing vehicles and more sustainable kinds of fuel, we thought that the best way of bringing these advances to the attention of the man in the street would be through Public Transport.




Not only would this influence our day-to-day living practices but also could produce a beneficial impulse to our local environment.

We use the latest Volkswagen and Audi technology, used to build the new generation of VW transporters (people carriers) and Audi A6 to provide safe, reliable, comfortable vehicles.

We power all our vehicles with 70 -- 95% biodiesel which is a locally produced environmentally friendly fuel which helps us to sustain a more ecological business.

The electricity for our offices is now provided by Ecotricity, produced exclusively from wind turbines.

We recycle all our waste in local recycling centres.

As a business and a family we support our local farms, buying their produce which it is mostly organic.

In all these small ways we are trying to set an example for the transport industry and we also hope our customers in turn are influenced towards reducing their own "carbon footprint" for the benefit of the community.

Hello. What is your engine Audi A6? 1.9 or 2.5 liter? What engine code? What engine have you got in the VW T5 (I know the engine code). Is fuel that poured into your taxi is modified? Do you refuel oil from French fries or something like that directly from the restaurant? I would like a fuel to refuel your B6 Audi A4 1.9 TDi engine code awx. Please kindly reply and best regards:)
