When Victor started recording electrically they did so without much fanfare In 1925. Most people were surprised about the clarity in there old style gramophones but may have just though that it was a natural progression of technology. In 1926 victor had enough electrically recorded records in there music catalogue to release the Orthophonic Victorola. This mechanical reproducing gramophone (some with electric motors) had a redesigned Sound box and horn that was sensitive to sounds of pervious gramophone. For the next decade America would enjoy the last progression and pinnacle in mechanically reproduced sound.
