um the battle of bunker hill was not actuly on bunker hill it was on breeds hill and genreal howe charged 3x b4 making the rebels retreat

I think that what people fail to realize is that the British from the mother country, Great Britain were fighting their own people, the British over 3,000 miles away in their 13 American Colonies. The colonial rebels and patriots in America did NOT want to break free from their allegiance to England. It was their 'mad' king who was the problem, not listening to reason and due to his policy of taxation without representation. And that is why colonial farmers with pitchforks had to bear arms.

@gipcambero we kick ass with the 6 months we were in combat in WWI and saved France agian entering WWII December 7th, 1941 and Declaring War on Germany in 1942 then D-day came to Liberate France so it was a way of thanking Francee twice for helping BUT without USA no France today

@stormsos The conflict began on Breeds Hill, correct, but after the Americans were driven into retreat, they regrouped again at Bunker Hill.

@YogaNate79 Yes your correct the Colonials didnt want independence from the Empire, They were angry about not been treated as equals, Also about been taxed?? They got greedy! The British were paying 10x more than the Colonials in tax, So if the Colonials wanted to be equals they should have accepted the tax! What so bad about British rule??
