Not a very original song i know, it's probably been done to death, but i had a good idea and i ran with it.
Cloud struggles to come to terms with exactly what it is that Zack asked him to do as he lay dying. He feels obliged to live the life Zack had planned for himself before he died. So as Cloud struggles along, trying and failing to live as Zack would have lived he begins to feel that Zack was controlling him and laughing at his failures. He begins to blame Zack for the pain he feels when Aerith dies and for all the hardships in his life.
Zack watches through it all, pained by Cloud's thoughts because that is not what he ever wanted for Cloud.
But finally he realizes what it was Zack asked of him, and as Cloud comes to terms with himself, Zack is able to leave in peace.
