The 5th grade class of Redner Elementary was fortunate enough to be on hand when members of the Kalitta Motorsports DHL Funny Car team started their 8,000-horsepower drag racer in the race shop parking lot in Ypsilanti, Mich. in frigid and snowy conditions! The team, with Team Kalitta Top Fuel dragster driver David "Grubby" Grubnic manning the controls, was testing a new computer system on the car. Note the occasional falling flakes, the visible breath and the sometimes shaky hand of a shivering cameraman!
