It's a great film. Any film that features Christopher Lee (in a kilt, no less), traditional folk music, Ingrid Pitt, apples, burning effigies and lovely Scottish scenery has to be.

Depends how you look at it. The Wicker Man 06 is a fantastic comedy, even more so because it's unintentional!

It's more weird than a horror. You can put yourself in his position. Although why he never rang for reinforcements when he was convinced of murder I'll never know. And why didn't he screw Willow?? I love the film because it is odd and a bit cheesy. Some folk I know despise it. I have never heard anyone say, "The Wicker Man? It's ok." You either love or hate it. The remake is a huge, steaming pile of shit!! RIP Sgt. Howie.

That answer is obvious-- he did try to, but his radio was destroyed, and his transport destroyed.

I said, "rang for reinforcements" which I thought was obvious meant telephone? You don't "ring" someone on a radio. And I don't recall anyone saying Summerisle was bereft of telephones?

@EggheadOfTheFuture

HEAR HEAR!

They didn't even put Nicholas Cage's character in the Wicker Man at the end. I think alot of fans of the old movie were pretty ripped off as they have a right to feel.
