Democracy in Modern Greek is "dhee-moh-krah-TEE-ah" (δημοκρατία).

HE says "dhe-moh-kra-TEE-ah". (δαιμοκρατία)

He subtly changes the FIRST SYLLABLE from DHEE to DHEH (δη->δαι).

Pronouncing DHEH indeed makes "democracy" SEEM to come from "daimon" (δαίμων), meaning "spirit" (not necessarily "demon").

But the actual pronunciation DHEE, and "democracy" ACTUALLY comes from "demos" (δήμος), meaning "people".
