RARE Jayne Mansfield "The Wayward Bus" 1957

Why is this movie NOT on DVD by 20th Century Fox?????????????? I think Jayne is WONDERFUL in it.

This is finally about to be released. THE WAYWARD BUS is coming to remastered Blu-Ray on June 12th, 2012, in a limited edition of 3000 copies, from the Twilight Time video label, available to pre-order in a couple of months from Screen Archives. It'll be a great looking new widescreen print.

pre-order for the blu-ray of this film went live at 3 p.m today on the screen archives website.

(part 2) WAYWARD BUS will be listed in that section in another month or two as the Screen Archives pre-orders go up a month, two months max before the disc comes out, so you'll see it listed on Screen Archives around April or May. That noted if you're on Facebook you can join the Twilight Time page there and read and ask them questions directly about it, they're very responsive. The disc will be limited but shouldn't sell out too quickly.

Twilight Time only just announced it, and it's listed in the 'upcoming releases' on their Facebook page. If you go to Screen Archives right now though and look at the 'Top Weekly Titles' (top right of page) you'll see DEMETRIUS AND THE GLADIATORS and BITE THE BULLET listed as pre-orders. Click on either of those (both are Twilight Time titles) and you can find a clickable link to all of T.Time's discs under the 'Label' tag. That shows all their limited edition Blu-Rays.

I agree. She really did show a lot of promise here as an actress. But her priorities were a little off. And maybe she wouldn't have gotten enough opportunities anyway.

I was able to obtain a DVD copy of the "Wayward Bus" from ioffer.com. Sometimes it is on Ebay also. Unfortunately, I don't think those copies are in the original wide-screen format. (They are "full frame".) But "full frame" is better than nothing.
