I know I've kept you guys waiting a loooooong time, and I'm sorry. I had to focus on schoolwork for a while before I could get back to editing. So here it is, at last, the fourth installment in my "Harry Potter TV intros" series. The fourth book brings a new epic scope to the series, being almost twice as long as any previous installment and setting the stage for a much higher page count for the rest of the books. As a result, the movie moves at quite a clip, covering about 9 chapters in the first 10 minutes alone, often missing some key plot points while moving at a blistering pace that even non-readers will likely notice. Although the general story comes across for the most part, many really juicy characters and subplots are gone without a trace. I felt that Goblet of Fire would benefit greatly from a long-form series adaptation, and things like Ludo Bagman, The Dursleys, the Quidditch World Cup, Hermione's SPEW campaign, Winky and Dobby, Fred & George's joke shop, and Bertha Jorkins could get some decent screen time. To be fair, I think the film works better as one film rather than two larger films, but it is still unfortunate that so much excellent material got the shaft.
The hard part with this one was deciding who the main cast members would be (I tried to give face-time to as many supporting characters as I could). You'll notice a little surprise about two-thirds in: I've elected Stephen Fry to play Ludo Bagman. His flat nose, rosy cheeks, and jovial attitude seem to match Ludo, plus he's something of an HP alumnus already from performing the UK audio books (the clip is from V for Vendetta). There are only TWO clips from the deleted scenes this time. I own nothing. All footage belongs to Warner Brothers Pictures. Enjoy, and Order of the Phoenix is coming soon.

Dr. Who is great of course, but Barty Jr. only appears in two scenes; that makes David a guest star.

I try to only include characters who appear throughout the book. Don't worry; Ralph will be in the next one.
