What I have never understood nor will ever understand is the obsession with the Second Amendment to the exclusion of the REST of the Constitition. It's like they think their guns, protected by 2A, are the only things protecting the U.S. from some Nazi takeover. Why so much faith in 2A and so little faith in all those fancy checks and balances imbued into the REST of the Constitution?

It's like blindly adhering to one tiny section of the equation that keeps us free while ignoring the rest.

@BobbyBeavis Bullshit! He has the right to stand up to the police because ANY stance that you take against the police will be perceived as being hostile, so what do you have to lose. If he's not required to show the officer his ID if he's legally carrying a gun (with a permit) then he has a right to challenge the officer. Now if he were to draw his gun on the police officer then all bets are off!

You are suppose to give the Officer Identification. How else will he check if you have any outstanding warrants? First the officer agrees not to take possession of his gun, but requires identification and refusing a reasonable request like that just makes shit worse.. Even my CCW instructor says, just give them your fucking identification. If you didn't commit any crimes, what are they going to do? Nothing!
