I understand what you're saying, but he had no reason to show his identification to the police officer. If you're not breaking the law then law enforcement officers should be in the background as you go about your business, not demanding that you present identification. This is a free country, law abiding citizens should not be accosted and required to show their "papers" to law enforcement as if they are the Gestapo. If I'm doing something wrong by all means, stop me and I'll provide ID.

This video reminds me of the scene in Office Space where you see Milton engaged in an intense phone conversation while the camera pans slowly over the divider into the next cubicle.. and then you realize that Milton was only talking to Peter.

Cuz I saw a screen shot of Ridley engaged in an important looking cellular call while being confronted by the cops and I thought, wow, what's he doing, calling in an air strike or something? But now I get it. He was only calling the NH Libertoid Nerd Line.

As a 911 dispatcher I can say that at times the officers on the street do get slightly confrontational, however it's because most people do not act normally. This situation probably could have been diffused had the officer felt like their was some cooperation. However I realize I'm speaking according to VA and specifically a city in Hampton Roads. Our officers understand as well that open carry is legal but we do have to respond to complaints and investigate.

an "oath" is called a "promise" by a different name. and we all know everyone ALWAYS keeps a promise.
they may swear it, but the supreme court disagrees.

good thing no laws were broken here. Police response was unnecessary

Agree with Tek. I OC every day in Pennsylvania.
FYI OC is allowed in almost every state/ I think its currently 6 that it is not allowed in.
And if they do as you say... Can you say fat paycheck following lawsuit? As a matter of fact, I can think of a half dozen that got paid in just that manner off the top of my head. Good way to waste tax payers dollars, arresting someone who followed the law

As an OC activist we should know the laws quite well. You are talking about Terry vs Ohio and the "Terry stop". A gun itself is not evidence of a crime, RAS is needed. They can ask for ID, I can refuse. Many of us "sterile carry" so we have no physical ID to provide.
Google "Dickson City Dozen" happened in my town. I wasnt there but its what clued me in to OC and got me started.
OC is legal in nearly all states. offense taken at "some" : )

If it had been a group of the "New Black Panthers", they wouldn't have done that.
