I recently started taking dulcimer lessons via Skype from Mark Gilston. The first thing he insisted on is that I strengthen my pinky, and in working on that for a song, this version of "Cripple Creek" just jumped off the fretboard. No fancy licks, jus the straight melody here. Hopefully it dances a little.
I am playing a baritone dulcimette made by Ron Ewing and tuned AEaa.
