Type 2 doesn't just magically appear, it's a result of typical bad eating habits, the typical American diet of too many carbohydrates and bad foods that the body can't handle, not exercising the way nature intended and putting on too much body fat as the result! Type 2 diabetes is manageable but many people are incapable (or unwilling) to change their lifestyle. It is possible to do so if you're committed. I'm not sure where Frank falls into all this, but that's what I suspect.

Probably because his type 2 diabetes has fucked him up for life. The dude is huge. You don`t get that big that fast without being diabetic. This is a reasonable observation. I don`t know this for a fact. I would bank on it.
