Planes at Heathrow Airport | Snowy Evening Arrivals | 17/12/10

Various Arrivals into London Heathrow Airport, on a wintery, snowy bitterly cole, late afternoon on Friday 17th December 2010. Please note, later this very same evening all British Airways flights were cancelled and nearly the entire airport closed down!
INCLUDES: 4x Virgin Atlantic A340's (3x A340-600, 1x A340-300), American Airlines 777, Air China A330, Malaysian 747, PIA 777 and alot more lighter Airbus's & Boeing's.
Sorry for the shakey camera towards the end, I was so cold I didn't know what to do with myself, so I just paced around the bus stop!
The temperature was -7, but with strong Arctic winds blowing from the north, the wind chill was estimated -12 it was easily the coldest plane video I've ever done!

Good video, especially with the wall of clouds in the back. Are you actually standing close to the spot where the BA 777 came in short a couple of years ago and ripped off its landing gear?

Funny thing is that I came to the airport to drop off my housemate and she went on the last flight of the evening from T4. I noticed that they cancelled all flights from AMS but when I woke up the next day I checked the news and in fact the airport was completely shut down! Talk about luck!!!! Shame I was not on the plane! :(

I guess you heard about the Virgin A340 being stranded for FIVE SODDING HOURS on the runway? Talk about bad management, if they couldnt send a tug out to rescue the plane, why not send out a bus to at least get the passengers off? But still, great vid buddy! Keep 'em coming! =-D
