You know everyone is saying "Oh the 101st airborne is the greatest"
I've never liked them. I've always prefered the 82nd airborne. There was no 101st at Sicily, they had it easier than the 82nd at Market Garden.
The Bulge sure. But still.

I just read and watch the story of the 506 co. 101 airborne, I salute you MEN, and to their families, THANK YOU for sharing your loved ones to the world. I just found out that Major Winters passed away recently, Thank you SIR...

my grandpa also served for the 101st airborne, 506th PIR, baker company
in the night before D-Day, he jumped down near St-Mere-Eglise
he also fought in the battle of the bulge and became sergeant later.
He is 88 years now and is just sitting in the living room now
