@liutian3 roger´s backhand is definitely versatile, because of his great, slice backhand as well..

@extradutyfelt1 I guess single handed backhand takes a closed body motion, which result outs in a slightly less powerful shot. But it generates angle and hides the player's intention well. I just feel Sampras can do less with his backhand than Fed. It's usually solid but doesn't look that aggressive for most of the time.

@liutian3 I don´t agree, I think federer´s top spin/flat backhand, has good power and both sampras and federer have good backhands, they both can hit winner´s and extreme angles, with their backhands..

Tough loss by Roddick but not nearly as tough as the loss later this year.

I love watching Roddick lose. =D

4:52 Roger Federer: "Come on!"?

Fed was pissed because Roddick's pro football buddy was celebrating excessively loud. Looked like he went on a tear after that scream!
-
It's actually amazing to think that Roddick shared his prime with prime Federer, many of their matches were tight - guys today in their prime struggle with Federer at 29.

@sskkiittee "BE QUIET".
Sampras backhand is so weak and probably the only weakness of his game. Federer's backhand is not powerful but he knows how to mix it up. You can see Fed change between topspin and bottom spin quite comfortably with his back hand. I don't see it to be a weakness of his game except for facing Nadal.

O.o.. I would say that Fed's backhand is a lesser of two evils (backhand vs forehand), but in no ways is it weak. He runs around it because, naturally, his forehand is stronger. "Cover it" sounds too negative for my taste. Imho Sampras's backhand was neither technically sound nor better than federer's backhand. =/
