After reading a Christian article on stewardship, I felt the need to respond.

  • i enjoyed your video! i'm taking environ ethics too.

  • aw, thanks. i'm glad you did. i know it may be highly inflammatory for some people, but the truth is tough too. i just get frustrated with christians who think the environment just isn't important.

  • As a Christian i want to apologizes for those who belittle issues of environment. To believe it is of no significance to God is ridiculous. People depend on the earth and thus God cares for it. So should we. These Christians piss me off as much as you. people have no idea of the holistic, interconnected, irreducible and finite system in which we live. I whole heartedly believe that God as relieved through Jesus is in essence restorative of all things.

  • Christians don't care because this is merely a waiting room until they go to the next level. Also I'd like to suggest a book: Endgame by Derrick Jensen (vol 1&2)

  • Living wastefully, polluting etc. ruins this planet humans, animals and plants alike. In the old testament humans lived to be like 300 now the average life expectancy is so much lower. It has been proven that environmental issues have caused this. Sure as christians we believe that the Rapture may come any day but that doesn't give us the right to destroy the possible future.

  • Wow so true. The first thing that God tells us in the Bible is to be stewards of his creation. As long as we Christians do good in the name of God as a way to give praise to him and not use it as a way to worship creation (as many non christians do) we are doing God's work.
