no doubt, waits is an acquired taste. first i thought, wow this guy has a terrible voice this is incoherent crap. then i stayed intrigued. then i thought well his voice is just different. then i realized what a great lyricist he was, then what a great songwriter, and finally what an amazing diverse musician he was. overall, he isnt my number one, but i saw him live this summer and hands down was the best show ive ever seen.
