You point out what people stand to gain from a emissions cap. Have you considered how many powerful corporations, especially the oil industry, stands to lose from something like that? Have you considered that this may be the only reason why there's any man-made global warming denial at all.

Yes, the Earth does go through natural periods of warming, but the Earth isn't in a natural warming period, it's in a natural cooling period.

The evidence for man-made global warming is absolutely massive. There is general scientific consensus about this. It has nothing to do with Al Gore, he just wrote a book and filmed a documentary about it.

I'm currently a member of the AmeriCorps NCCC. As of the passing of the GIVE act, a new unit of members has already been added to our campus. The same thing is happening across our 5 campuses nationwide, a whole new unit across all the campuses means our numbers have been increased significantly. And this is just ONE AmeriCorps program.

If the GIVE act was just a front, where did we get the money to increase our numbers so significantly?

I am not a climate change denier I am a C02 climate change denier. I love how the science of global warming happened right before al gores movie. Oh and C02 is the only emission they can tax. And if you do you research scientist didn't even consider C02 has a green house gas until global warming started. AL Gore has been lobbying for cap and trade in Washington for years and on the side his company has invested 1 billion dollars to profit from the bill if it passes open your eyes

i was saying the same things when bush was in office. Unlike most liberl conservatives stick to what they believe in. My opinion on government has nothing to do with who's in office but where they are taking us. Our government just promised 100 billion dollars to third world coutries to combat climate change. How can you do that when you look at how our debt is

you don't understand how government works. They pass these bill so they can use the money for other things that the bill was intended for. It's also is a way for the government to control and other form of your lfe. This bill cost a few hundred million dollars to over see people volunteers. Give me a break
