It only appears to knock it over. Tornadoes actually create lift, and sucked the thing from our left. At the beginning you could see the debris was coming from the left. If that tank car had not been diverted by the fallen car, no footage would have survived!

@Multi80sfan Possible. I can't tell from the video if the locomotive left the rails and I'm too damn lazy to dig out the accident report again. I do know the train wasn't going 50 plus miles per hour and if it went on the ground it was just barely.

@Boss302fan if you watch closely at the end you can see the engine tip over after the tank car hits

@Multi80sfan where do you see in this video the engine was knocked off the rails? 10 ton? And empty railcar weighs over 30 tons.

thats right the tank car only knocked the engine off the rails.
thanks for pointing that out.
but it does take quite a bit of force to know a 10+ ton diesle engine off the rails
