NC* No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (Wii) Review

No More Heroes 2 is a brilliant guilty pleasure.

Why did this game get the score that it got? Despite being awesome in the best of its moments, a few things still drag it down and it did feel rushed in spots. I still enjoyed the hell out of it though.

Wait a second, did I hear you right? Did you say this game was influenced by Goemon? As in Goemon the Konami ninja?

You know, one thing I find kinda depressing about the game is its appeal. You said that it appeals to the middle schooler (well, the child that wanted TMNT to be more bloody and over the top), but many of those people won't be able to get the game because of the rating. Sure, there are those kids whose parents buy them GTAIV, but most kids won't be able to have that luxury. :(

Yeah, there's a boss battle that reminded me of one from Mystical Ninja on N64 which I know was just a parody of oldschool robot anime.

Should have been SEGA MASTER SYSTEM type Mini-games, but Fan-boys of NES would probably seizure from the color increase.

The game came out in Europe recently and I wasn't impressed with it as the previous one. Not to say that I didn't enjoy it, it was very fun. But yea, the city being replaced with the map shouldn't bother too many people but I would have preferred driving around and exploring. I also don't like the way that there weren't any secret collectible like in the first one and the ones that appear in Travis's room don't feel quite as satisfying as you can't zoom in on them or anything.

Yeah, it's sad, really. Travis went from dropping witty lines, to just flat-out calling people Shit and Fuck-faces.

Bottom-line, my original statement was already recalled by myself. I am glad they used NES drab graphics for their boring mini-games, this game deserves to flop on its face and I will not buy it. Period.

@anupsanju And? As I said, "Nostaliholics pushing the NES onto the next generation like heroine junkies to an elementary school" perhaps you are a victem of the gaming religeon. Also, I am not talking about good games, I am talking ROCK'N games. I bet that shaves off at least 2 or 3 off your 1000 game love-fest. I don't believe everyone who had an NES back then feels this way, but When I told a Girl my age that I grew up owning an SMS, she said, "You had a SEGA MASTER SYSTEM? You spoiled BRAT!"

Er, I never said that. I never owned an NES (or a SNES). I never played an NES. I've never seen an NES. How could nostalgia cloud me judgement? And there are way more than 20 good NES games. Nostalgia clouds your favor, maybe. Hell, even people who owned the SMS back in the day agree that the NES had a better library of games. Just because you say, durp, I think the NES had like 20 good games and so did the SMS, doesn't make it true for everybody else.
