China is now one of the world's largest economies but it still resembles an emerging market when it comes to building brands. Most private companies were started after 1990, and even more established state-run companies are new when it comes to marketing. This week, Thoughtful China examines the challenges facing Chinese companies as they strive to build strong national and in some cases, international brands in the face of strong competition from foreign companies.
@ChinaShmina The most valuable brand list talked about in the first segment of this show - by Hurun Report, not Thoughtful China, by the way - has different parameters and uses different methodology. There are a lot of ways to gauge brands. I hope to feature Interbrand's lists in the future too. They are an excellent company in China.

Excellent video!
I just wonder why your list differs so much from the one announced by Interbrand.

Like I mentioned in comments elsewhere:
Best installment yet -- and Chajet's delivery was pitch perfect. I learned a ton, and thanks for this one.
