Rock River Dam Rockfalls IL

http://www.fisheadtackle.com The lower dam at Sterling Rockfalls Illinois. You can wade out from about anywhere because the water is shallow in the summer. Below the dam is a reef with rocks top stand on and get out of the water. Cast a bluegill or shad right up to the dam and try to get it under the dam where there is a back current deeper hole all across the dam. Use heavy poles with 20 pound test line minimum with 2 or 3 oz weight. Flathead catfish average 30 pounds on up to 60 pounds.

Wow, Rock fucking falls. I was driving through on vacation there and got mad at my mom and ran away and got lost there. I ran through the neighborhood near that strip of high way and ended up sleeping next to a garage. I finally found my mom the next morning but through that all, I realized I loved it there. I live in Jersey but I'll retire in Rock Falls.

i pulled a 8 1/2 pound walleye outta there last year, its a real good place to fish, IF THEY FIX IT
