  • cool, i see you use drawing substitution for heads and full animation on body, each part on separate layers, Rarm, Torso, Larm and so on, right?

    is this the only rough animation or is it a rough-cleanup?

    how much time does it take to complete a scene like this?

    This is the only rough animation pass, one animator would rough out about 35-45 seconds per week. Another clean-up artist would do 65-75 sec. per wek.

    Yes we pre-built 24 mouth shapes and dozens of hair cycles blinks, and expressions all within a large symbols-based head system with a full12 point rotation for each pose and angle of the head to keep it on-model. everything neck-down was hand-drawn with tablets on a Mac in Flash.
