San Antonio (actually Bexar County) built the AT&T Center because the San Antonio Spurs ended up with multiple owners and they weren't satisfied that the Alamodome didn't have enough box seats to keep them satisfied. So now we've got the Alamodome lying fallow because the county undercut the city and instituted a hike in the hotel tax rate. If team owners desire something they should pay for it out of their pocket in my opinion.

lol & Atlanta is about to build a new Falcons stadium because this owner doesn't like a roof on the Georgia Dome. The last owner didn't like it NOT having a roof.
