Drivers in the Philippines have been hit with no less than 18 fuel price hikes this year alone.

As inflation and fuel costs soar more and more commuters are turning to public transport, putting the train and bus services in the capital under enormous strain.

Al Jazeera's Marga Ortigas reports from Manila.
