@fortinrose1 If you build your relationship on looks, money, sex, etc., then you're almost certain to fail. However, if the foundation of your relationship lies on love (i.e., respect, faithfulness, sacrifice), then you have a significantly higher chance of staying together, as the foundation doesn't lie on looks or money (things that come and go) but rather on love--which is eternal.

Sorry for my rant! Btw, Ram is my fav Macca album and "Heart of the Country" is one of my favs! :)

@fortinrose1 The media (i.e., TV, movies, music, internet, commercials) brainwashes us into thinking no one is good enough for us; to not settle down; to not marry; to be promiscuous. All this does is instill fear and doubt in long-term committed relationships and/or the institution of marriage.

@fortinrose1 I respectfully disagree. I think the media has distorted love with lust, thus confusing the general masses perception of "love". The problem lies within, in people, and their view and expectations of love. Once "we" understand that the core of true love involves commitment and sacrifice, then you begin to see love through a completely different lense enabling you to fully embrace it.
