Okay, the comments here are crazy to me-Dante's humanity is EXTREMELY important. He thinks very highly of it that's what separates him from Vergil, that's what made them different. Dante wants to be human, he wants to protect humans and Vergil wanted to be a devil! Also, about the comment about Eva being a 'damsel in distress?' Sparda lost his powers when he sealed the demon gate-that means he was powerless too.

Demon/Angel mixing just screams Bayonetta to me, and NT trash talked that game.

How in the world is Dante a half-angel!? He's half-demon and half-human!! Where the hell did this half-angel crap come from!? NT needs to get their heads examined for changing Dante's demon heritage to an angel!! I think the best point you made was that REAL Dante has become a video game icon. You can't just completely change a character who's as recognised as Dante is. I mean, they changed how he looked between 1, 2, 3 and 4 but it was just minor changes to his clothes etc. The essence of the character was still there. As you said, it's like completely changing Mega Man, or Mario, Samus or Master Chief. And making him an angel is pretty blasphemous too, as someone said before, it's DEVIL May Cry.

this is just me, I'd rather him be a half demon and half Angel (as bizaar as that sounds) then Ninja theory take the path of him being to Twilight vampire with some extra emo thrown in there. I still think they should have kept it simple Human/demon, but atleast they didn't go with vampire.
