This is a wormy creature we found at the Eastern Prom Beach. It was stuck in the tide and we swooped it out for a closer look. We returned him to the water after and he tried to swim for shore.

7/12/08:
I finally bothered to look up people's responses, and yes, indeed it is a RAGWORM. It just happens to be a fairly large one. Thank you, as my curiousity has now been answered.
