Standard Disclaimer: This is an EXTREMELY dangerous reaction that has been carried out by experienced chemists after a thorough risk assessment has been made. If you are dumb enough to mess around with hazardous chemicals and do yourself an injury it is your own stupid fault and you deserve everything you get.

  • did they ever used this stuff in like wars ?

  • This has no uses whatsoever due to its extreme instability.

Explosives are no good if they detonate when in the back of a lorry on the way to the front line or whilst you are trying to load them into artillery

    That isn't nice :(

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* ammonia(NH3) and iodine(I) in this make nitrogen triiodide(NI3) and filtration, is this very dangerous, very sensitive explosion, is not a work!

  • make ten pounds and see what happens

  • They might've had a war chemist to point out if gas is in area and to make this stuff there but it wouldn't had been practical enough for them so they didn't.

  • I did this when I was 14, half my lifetime ago. I would generally rate the making of this ages 15 and up, but you should be a nerd with above average common sense.

I can also share some experience, if you store it under water for very long, it will eventually stop working.

  • the feather... *sob*

  • Is this the same substance used in brainiac

  • how do you make it

  • 1. Nitrogen triiodide isn't usually stored, and if it is, it is stored wet in a paste.

    2. When making Nitrogen Triiodide, you have to let it dry, so they move it while its still damp.

  • When i was a kid we use to paint a little on the blackboard, and when the teacher wrote over it with chalk...we all got a laugh
