I think she looked very pretty as brunette but blond hair gave her that unique look. One has to know she had a very white, pocelain like skin and it matched blond hair perfectly.
The inspiration came from Norma Shearer and Lana Turner. Eva wanted to be a blond like them. Hairdresser Julio Alcaraz dyed her hair. After Europe trip she asked him for much more lighter shade due to advice given her by the late Christian Dior, who she met in Paris. She also started to wear more modest clothes.

Anyone else think it sounds like the oompa loompa song?

What I admire en Evita was her desireof helping poor people, about politics is always two sides to the history

i think all comments here are not concrete since we ddnt exist during her time, all we heard are hearsays, fakes and lies, we dont know the reality..we need to travel to time to get the real info and share it to all...viva los todos amigos

Is it true that Eva once said "I Have never in my life known a day's happiness?" If this is true, that may explain why she settled for power.

@EnzFab73 CONT And you should know not to take a musical or a Hollywood movie as a history lesson. This would be like taking my opinions of your precious Anne Boleyn from THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL & label her as a cold, ambitious, vain, perverted trollop for wanting to sleep with her brother... yuck. After all thats what the film portrayed. We are a little selective in our bias. Well Maryssa Navara, Joseph Page, Robert Crassweller you ain't. Cheers.

@EnzFab73 & Argentina was far from first world.. it may have been rich but the squalor, distributions of wealth, corruption (yes this existed before the Perons), diseases, political instabilty...was overwhelmingly bad in Argentina. Anyone who has thoroughly researched this should KNOW this. The Anti-Peronist love to mention Argentina was rich prior to Peron yada yada yada..but the reality for most of the people was different.
This is like posting a wasn't Hitler hot page. Do you know how many tens of thousands 'vanished' during what was a very brutal regime. The billions that were syphoned out of the country into Swiss bank accounts? But she was glam right? Geez

@aavauxhall What a ridiculous comment. Comparing Evita to Hitler is laughable. Have you bothered researching the real woman? I would rather have people base their knowledge from actual historians/scholars & not from a biased, inaccurate musical? I would love to read the sources that state Evita was responsible for the atrocities commited by the state police. Even Mary Main who wrote the vitriolic "Women with the Whip" stated "there is no proof".

@aavauxhall CONT: And the "thousands" you talk about. Well that would come AFTER Eva Peron as per the historical evidence & much was commited by non Peronists administrations. Crying foul and comparing a woman who did much for women, the poor, the elderly & children in a Latin American country to a mass murderer of MILLIONS of Jews, Gays, Jehovah's Witnesses, Gypsies etc.. is rather ignorant and yes, she was "glam" and as Tim Rice wrote "had style in spades".
