  • The song is "Your Freedom's Not Free..

  • ilwantstohelp, thanks for the input. It is nice to hear individuals that know and understand us veterans. Bert is an outstanding friend and RVN Combat Vet. We served at the same time, a little over 15 miles apart but did not connect with each other until 2007. Thanks and welcome home to your uncles and brother. My father too was a WWII Navy vet. Thanks again for supporting our troups.

  • Just found this vidoe, awesome, and I love this song. I have the greatest respect for all our Military, past, & present. There aren't enough words to express just how grateful I am to all of you. God Bless you all . A very proud Marine mom.

  • Thanks for your comments, they mean alot to us. Bert is a one of a kind friend and Vet brother. God put him in my life a few years ago and I have been blessed ever since. Our graditute for your son/daughter service. In Berts words "A veteran and a friend" we all share that bond as veterans and will always do what we can to cover their six when in harms way. God Bless and thanks. Pepco5978

  • creat3d, I'll only comment once on your input. You have missed the point of this video. Veterans, since Vietnam have been accussed of hidious actions against mankind. Just a little research on your part will show you that these claims have been proven false. A soldier goes to war to do his job and to do it well. If you have issues with our country going to war, state that to the politicians. Don't blame a Vet. Know go do some research and thanks for your input.

  • Dear Mr.Smith- You have a beautiful voice, and honor all veterans and active-duty military with your emotional lyrics.

Our whole country should hear this song. The video and song reminds me how proud I am of our brave men and women in uniform!

    *A Proud Army Mom*

  • dear proud army mom, thanks for listening and for the kind words.thahk you also for you and your childs sacrifice for our country. bert r jones

  • @picklepie159 It is not a cover, it is an original just in kind of a bluegrass style

  • Hey... Does anyone know what the song is?

  • well spoken lyrics are beautifully portrayed in this video....my dad was a vet of WWII as were several uncles-my brother served in VietNam-daughter has a friend in the Airforce-a nurse My son lost a good friend in Iraq during service there 2 year ago & another of his friends is now in Afghanistan. THANK YOU TO THE THOUSANDS of MEN AND WOMEN who HAVE SERVED & THOSE WHO STILL SERVE to PROTECT OUR PEOPLE & COUNTRY continuously....at home & abroad. GOD BLESS YOU

  • @lvmyamerica thank you so much.

  • Thank you for such a wonderful tribute to our military, wherever they may be. God bless every one of you. This song says it all....

  • Beautiful song - as a patriotic American that struggles with our purpose in some wars, and also as the very proud mom of a Marine, it has always been important to me to honor the warrior despite one's feeling about the war. I understand the sacrifice of the young service person and you have done a wonderful job of honoring past veterans and present service persons.
