Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi était un grand dirigeant politique et spirituel de l'Inde, et du mouvement d'indépendance indien. Il a été un pionnier et un théoricien du Satyagraha â€" la résistance à la tyrannie au travers de la désobéissance civile de masse, le tout fondé sur l'ahimsa (totale non-violence), qui a mené l'Inde à l'indépendance, et inspiré de nombreux mouvements de liberté et de droit civique autour du monde.

Well I feel that Gandhi's image was given a much bigger hype that what he actually was ... I am not a fan of Gandhi when it comes to sacrifices n stuff & on the contrary I feel that he was a very shrewd person in visualizing his place in politics & history once things started getting kicked for him...but that me then ;)
