In USA they work for cheap.
You spend 54000 getting your ase cert. and go work for TA truckstop for 24000 per year.
You only really make money if you either find the right job or start your own shop.
If I were a mecanic, I would go around to all the little fleets and owner operators and work on their trucks on their property.
Better to get into a good shop
More money if you start your own.
