@HBourgoin I found that playing a certain version (I cannot recall from memory) I had green arrows while playing with Valanice and blue arrows while playing with Rosella. I also remember playing with white arrows...

@shadyparadox I'm talking about at the beginning of the game when you're asked if you've played the game before. The answers might be in green on DOSbox.

Reminds me of a certain NES game glich, where if you die and eat the final boss at the same time. the scene of you at the end has your dead body moving around,

Hey, what version do you have? my icons are all white while yours is green.

We may actually have the same version.
Most likely, you are seeing white arrows because you are running the game directly under Windows. The game runs smoother, faster (except no firecracker bug), and simply overall better in DOSBox.
If you have the original CD, it's actually not too difficult to set up, but you can't import your old saved games.

@shadyparadox So you're playing the game under DOSBox? Is that why your cursor arrow is always green? And if you have King's quest 4, are the choices of whether you have played the game before or not green, too?

@HBourgoin A DOS game can have colored mice if the programmer's want it. Apparently, they wanted the DOS version to have colored arrows, but this wasn't possible with the Windows version.
The KQ4 programmers did not program a colored mouse in their game.
