STOP THE VIDEO PLAYER! READ THIS FIRST!
This is Part I of a combined review with a total of FOUR parts. This short one covers Adventures in the Magic Kingdom, but the rest branches off to cover a related game. I have split the video up ONLY to get around youtube's 100MB limit. And I have also disabled comments for the first three parts, but left them open for the last one. So don't be alarmed. It is meant to get you to keep going the whole way through. You can say everything you have to say for all 4 parts on the Part IV comment section. Ratings are still independent though. And lastly, I apologize in advance for the video's poor quality. Youtube really wanted to screw with this one. Note that it is not my doing.
Random Fun Facts:
- Even though my typical style is to lead with Voice Over (VO) and record and edit the best footage after, I experimented with a bunch of different methods throughout the project and used them where they'd work best.
00:34 - VO and live recorded completely separately, though you can see the game script and games there. One is Mickey Mousecapade, and the other is for an upcoming review that I've already started but postponed for this one. And to the far left is xyience xelerate, which I used to manage my weight for this 2-month period where I stopped working out. It works AMAZINGLY well.
01:29/33 - "It's a Small World" and "Tom Sawyer's Island" are not actual levels of the game. I needed to fill in space on the VO.
02:22 - I'm talking about not having enough candles to take out the books, but I have 14 of them. I come back to this later in the credits to explain it better.
02:30/03:07 - Got to boss of ghost level. Beat him.
02:49-03:43 - This sequence was added later upon rediscovering the select screen options.
03:44 - Had to watch tons of Walker on USA/Hallmark channels to get this clip. And he actually grabs the wrist, not the finger. But I used it anyways because I didn't want to wait any longer.
- In playing Magic Kingdom for the first time in years, I actually discovered the secret to beating both the platforms and books. For platform room 1, always land on the NEAR half of the chandeleers. When you're ready for the platforms to come, cross the thing sticking up to the other half. For the books, as soon as you enter the room, position yourself as far BACK on the chair as humanly possible (NOT the front of the chair) and DUCK. Shoot out of the duck position to get the books coming up from the bottom. For platform set 2, jump as high, far, and as quick as possible without stopping. All flying ghosts should miss you. Don't even look at them. And forget about the ceiling. Pretend it's not even there.
I'm a bit of a slow bastard so it took me a moment to realise what "Ucfoov" meant :P
