Frightful to behold. You play with dangerous zeal that borders on cruelty. Absolutely fitting for this piece. I'm on my fifth listen.

Hi Kelly,
Great performance and technique! I would appreciate it if you could share your LH fingerings for that hideous 7 against 6 bar on page 1 of the score.
Mine is 321321 321313 213213 132132
of course playing the LH alone is not a problem, but when combining with the RH, it is very difficult to go as fast. could you also share some tips of practising that bar? Thanks very much!

@sjskb26
so sorry!!! I played this piece about three and half years ago, and I don't have the music with me... so I don't remember what fingerings I have used~~ One way to practice is, don't try to fit them perfectly with the correct rhythm, just practice measure by measure, just make sure your first note of both hands end up together every bar. It goes so fast that as long as your first note of each hand ends up together beginning of every bar, no one can tell if your rhythm is correct or not

also how was learning the 3rd movement?

I actually learn 3rd movement first because I like it the most. this one is actually very tricky because you have to play it so crisp, clean, light, and still musical. have a lot of heavy staccato slow practice, I think that will help!

thank you so much
im starting to learn it at a faster pace than i usually learn pieces
but
the rhythm is really throwing me off.
just the 3 against 5 thing
any advice on how to practice that?
allygator890 3 years ago
just feel the down beat, don't think 3 against 5. As long as you play the down beat together (left hand and right hand, since it will be quite fast), it does not matter if you can play them correctly in tempo. Also, it might help if you listen to right hand only, and let the left hand falls the down beat by itself with the right hand.
