Chocolate is a female European Eagle Owl. Fully grown she has a six foot wingspan and weighs 2300g or around 5 - 6lbs. She hatched in June 2009. :)

That's exactly right. At around five weeks old the owlet is exploring the world by finding out what it tastes like, it's texture, firmness. In short, whether it is furniture or food!
