  • Thanks for posting this. I really enjoy watching these old commercials from the 70's.

    I still use Afro Sheen.

Which is strange, because I'm a bald white man.

  • That was soulful.....Afro sheen cosmetics...I want to go back to the 70's...Everything was so real and natural...WTF Happen ........Damn

  • @Ecossaise Maybe we'll just have to climb into the Sherman and Peabody WABAC Machine and go back to those better days. With me, Baby?

  • @MrDoubtfulguest OK :D If I can find things online I will do so - its getting harder to do as the clips aren't as available as they were a few years ago due to copyright issues and such.

  • @Ecossaise Yeah! Post more AS stuff! And I remember some commercials that added: "And don't forget new Ultra Sheen"! (Whatever that was) Then it was back to Don Cornelius on SOOOOUUUUL TRAIN. ( And if you were lucky, Chaka Khan would be on--her Rufus days) Peace, love, Grateful Dead, baby.

  • @MrDoubtfulguest Exactly! :D

  • @kkgirl300 Well, I wish Afros were back in style, too, and not to prove anything. I just thought they looked great, and THIS white guy will never understand why they went out of style. (Although from what you're saying they sound high maintenance; if true, then why were they also sometimes called "naturals"?) I loved these Afro Sheen commercials, which were to be seen in the early seventies on SOUL TRAIN. Fun times.

  • Lol, that dude did the head shake with cool confidence!

  • @kkgirl300 Keep trying :D hang in there!

  • @Ecossaise I know .

  • @kkgirl300 I see. Well there are products out there that would be better for you I think.

  • @Ecossaise No , that wouldnt be possible because of the texture of the hair .
