@Ryuzaki40 It's very simple, really. Having an antidote in the trashcan implies they were kept around in the kitchen. Keeping an antidote in the kitchen means somebody was expecting to be poisoned. Maybe that's how everybody died in the Old Chateau! Maybe they all accidentally ate something that their pet Arbok had drooled into... >.>
