Towers of Babel is an interactive installation which questions language. Starting with a short description of a foreign person's experience in his native language, the visitor plays with dictionary books of different nationalities to translate the text and little by little transform it into a new obscure language. Thus, the translator software used here turns into some kind of poetry generator that denies meaning to bring new grammatical forms, new associations of words in an anarchic mix of languages.

Des tours de Babel est une installation interactive qui interroge le langage. Partant du récit d'un étranger décrivant ses premières impressions dans un pays de langue différente, le visiteur joue avec de multiples dictionnaires à en traduire le texte. Parce qu'il peut ensuite en retraduire le résultat et recommencer à l'infini, un obscur langage évolutif se crée. Le traducteur ici utilisé se transforme ainsi en générateur de poésie qui nie le sens original pour apporter de nouvelles formes grammaticales, de nouvelles associations de mots.
