  • That's fine.. good luck

  • Adjust tweak the carb, check fuel lines, clean or replace fuel filter.. Also possible bad spark plugs, cable or distributor cap or points.

  • Thanks for your question.. I'm going to make some assumptions that your Scout has set for awhile & you've had some minor start-up troubles that seem to have gotten worse over time.

I'm thinking that..# 1. Either you may have some water that has gotten into your fuel tank. #2. Fuel tank has never been replaced in last 30yrs & has gummed up w/ dirt & rust particles. #3. Broken, pinched or severely clogged fuel line. #4. Defective fuel pump. #5 Fuel sending unit needs replaced or #6 all above.

  • I'm the new owner of this exact Scout. Bought it in May 2010. Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to imbed this video on my blog to show as a starting point.

  • i have a 304 and im having the same problems with fuel but mine will turn over but even with spraying starter fluid in the carb it wont even fire up for a second just keeps turning over and suggestions?

  • how many quarts of oil does the 304 V8 engine hold?

  • The 304 is one of the best IH motor there is .I have a 1972 scout 2 with a 258 and 3 speed ,and all so a meyer plow . GOOD job on vid.

  • i wish my international started. I think i have the firing wrong so it does not start. and when i installed the fuel pump i did not do it right because it does not pump any fuel.
