  • FDIC is a joke anyway. If you ever make a claim from a failure, FDIC doesn't tell you the insurance pays you back in small monthly increments that can be spread out over 10 or 20 years. Yep.. a big joke.

  • I don't get it, where's the kitchen?

  • Who is BAIN BANK?

  • there are 55 bank failures so far in 2009 begining July. That beats 2008 by more than 100% and we haven't reach yet end of year.

  • there were 26 bank failures this year alone. FDIC-dot-GOV/bank/individual/failed/banklis

  • IndyMac was spun off countrywide bank investments with mortgages that even Fannie and Freddie had rejected. In 1997, Indymac was founded and Countrywide dumped all their bad loans on it. Indymac was doomed from the start. Don't listen to the mass media to get your info. If the senator hadn't said that Indy would've gone bellyup with depositor losing over 5 billion instead of the 1 billion they lost. O by the way,,,,, I'm a banker. WAMU is next.

  • crooks will be crooks..

  • A U S Sen. from New York caused a panic which became a run on the bank. A news story like the one on Indtmac would close any bank down.

  • figures!
