his still the best

lol if you measure from where he landed and not the edge of the circle, you still get 76'-77'.

@RandomStevie The 12 pound is light enough that strength can take precedent over form. Anyone who throws the Olympic sized shot put could tell you you won't be an elite thrower without great form to back up solid strength levels.
-
@Dogman022908 That's false as hell. Zack Hill (former shotput champion in the state of Michigan) had crappy form, but he was a strong motherfucker. He threw 69'1.

@Dogman022908 You may have just made the worst arguement in the whole world. Roids is bad, it is cheating and anyone who thinks otherwise is either a roider or just not informed correctly on the subject. Do you throw? How would you know how much strength factors into throwing far. Barnes was a dishonest cheater and should be remembered as such.
-
@Dogman022908 The roids can add a few feet, and a few feet can make a new world record.

@akidbudak123 yeah you've got a point, never thought of it:L.

@ZoMbieKid97656 u cant say that ur not being cocky if there's no point in ur statement other than bragging
-
I'm a 11 year old and I throw the shot at my school, not to be cocky but I think I'm quite strong for my age and I threw a 4kg one 10m

@EndlersaurusRex I see what your saying, but this guy is saying form is 90% of throwing. It's around 40-50%. I throw 4 feet less with the Oly shot than with the HS shot, and my form isn't anywhere near perfect. I agree that if your spin takes 4 seconds, and you throw the shot like a baseball it's not going to go very far, but you need LOTS of strength to put anywhere near 70 feet.
