  • how easy are they to train?

  • @MrDiamonds01 Yes they are a rare breed. They were bred (engineered) as war dogs, for the Russian Red Star army. They're confident, and can be strong willed. They need a firm, fair, informed hand. Not a good choice for a first time dog owner.Easy to train, if you know how to train, or are willing to get proffessional help through their learning years. Slow to mature, taking up to 4 yrs, training, and socialization is important right from the start. Beautiful, strong, extemely loyal dogs.

  • beautiful animal never actually seen 1 except for online or on tv are they a rare breed?

  • @MrDiamonds01 Yes, Black Russian Terriers are rare. They were just accepted into AKC in 2005...(maybe 2003). I agree with you, they are beautiful animals!

  • Hi guys and thanks for the comments:-) Sorry I took long so answer, but my computer crashed :-(

Blackdogshow: Thanks and Greetings to you, from the US :)

  • @MrDiamonds01 im swedish and we had a dog like this. when we bought him it was only 120 of them in sweden. with the right training he became the best dog i have ever had. Never did anything to anyone or anything. i rarely used a leech either. you could just snap your fingers and he would heel or sit right away :)

  • Aw i have a black russian terrier called olga :)

  • i can't wait until i can get my BRT!!!! i've been looking at dog breeds throughout college and fell in love with this breed. i've started a "puppy fund" for getting the pup and first year expenses + training classes. i think by the time i am able to care for a dog, i should have enough :)

i live in NC if you know of any breeders nearby? hard to find on the internet. i don't need a show dog, just good health!

  • Hi Sherri thought you said they were an inteligent breed you sure lol seen some of your other vids only kidding they are wonderful
